School Renovation Driven by Energy-Efficiency Considerations

We are planning in Hungary for the long term, and we wish to operate here successfully in the long run, therefore we are interested in the healthy and sustainable development of the Hungarian gas market. As we see it, one of the reasons for the gas-dependence of Hungary is the fact that a lot of people fail to consider energy-efficiency properly.

Therefore, we intend to set obvious examples of energy efficiency in the future. We have decided to renovate an educational institution on considering energy efficiency aspects. We have selected Tófej as our first project-site. Children from three villages attend the kindergarten and the school of this small Zala county village, and partly due to the high energy costs, it is a huge challenge for the local municipality to maintain the school.

E.ON Földgáz volunteered for the task to prepare the energy-efficiency renovation plan for the institution (heat proof lagging, replacing the boiler, lamps and heaters), and to cover the costs of renovation.
