Storage facility extension in Zsana

E.ON Földgáz Storage Zrt. extends the storage capacities of its underground gas storage facilities by 400 million cubic meters until 2009.

The new storage capacities will be created by the expansion of the existing storage site in Zsana. By developing the existing and operating capacities the project can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively. With its facilities operated at high technical level E.ON Földgáz Storage provides accurate and reliable natural gas storage services.

Data of the storage facility extension:

  • creating additional mobile gas storage capacity amounting to 400 million cubic meters - as a result the mobile gas capacity of  Zsana Storage Facility will be increased from the existing 1,540 billion cubic meters to 1,940 billion cubic meters

 

  • 4 million cubic meters/day withdrawal capacity expansion - as a result of the expansion the daily withdrawal capacity of Zsana Storage Facility will be 28 million cubic meters/day after the project is implemented

 

  • 6.8 million cubic meters/day injection capacity expansion - as a result of the expansion the daily injection capacity of  Zsana Storage Facility will be 17 million cubic meters/day after the project is implemented

Project completion deadlines:

  • Injection: 14 August 2009
  • Withdrawal: 1 January 2010

 

Simultaneously with the implementation of the project, E.ON Földgáz Storage commenced to sell the expanded capacities.
