January 1, 2004 -MOL Földgáztároló Rt, the Hungarian natural gas storage company is starting its individual operation as a 100% owned member of the MOL Group.
November 4, 2004 - E.ON Ruhrgas International AG and MOL Rt. sign the contract on the sale of the natural gas business of MOL.
April 1, 2006 – After 16 months of approval procedure of the Hungarian and European authorities E.ON Ruhrgas International AG (ERI), a 100% subsidiary of Europe's leading upstream and midstream natural gas company takes over 100% of the shares in MOL Földgázellátó Zrt and MOL Földgáztároló Zrt. Herewith the two natural gas companies become fully integrated part of the Pan European natural gas business of E.ON.
May 22, 2006 - MOL Földgáztároló Zrt, the natural gas storage company of Hungary, has the new name and a new brand: E.ON Földgáz Storage Zrt.
The brand, that equals to performance and expertise, which enables E.ON as a group to provide customer orientation locally and therefore deliver better results. This means: one European identity, one European culture of business, one European family of brands.
E.ON Földgáz Storage Zrt. is active on the Hungarian energy market in the natural gas storage business under the license of the Hungarian Energy Office. The company is serving the storage needs both of the regulated and liberalized gas market players, thus ensuring the security of high level gas supply in the whole territory of Hungary.
